Pogbaziyech and 48 other players jointly petitioned, calling on UEFA to suspend Israeli qualifications

48 players including Pogba and Ziyech issued a joint petition through the "Athletes 4 Peace" organization calling on UEFA to suspend Israeli qualifications. The petition stated: "Call UEFA is called on to immediately suspend the qualifications for all competitions in Israel."

"In the face of injustice, sports are not neutral. Staying silent means acknowledging that the lives of some people are not as valuable as others. We firmly believe that the same standard should be applied to all countries and all peoples, and justice should not have double standards."

The fuse of this initiative was the murder of Suleiman Obaid, known as "Palestine Bailey". He was killed in an attack by Israeli forces, according to a statement from the Palestinian Football Association.

Although UEFA published a post to commemorate Obaid, it deliberately concealed the details of his death. This move prompted Egyptian football player Mohamed Salah to openly question UEFA:
