The last time the two sides met was in March 2023, when a large-scale riot broke out between the fans of the two teams. Frankfurt fans broke out in serious street conflicts with extreme fans and police in Naples in the old city. The cars were burned and the streets were devastated. Afterwards, several Frankfurt fans were sentenced to prison by the local court, and two of them were sentenced to 5 years and 2 months in prison.
