British media: Thomas received conditional bail and will appear in the Central Criminal Court on September 2

Thomas appeared in court on five counts of rape, according to London Football Network. Thomas was also charged with sexual assault when he appeared in Westminster District Court on August 5.

According to reports, Judge Goldspring told Thomas: "You are facing six charges, five of which are prosecutable only, which means that these charges must be handed over to the criminal court. The sixth charge can also be handed over if it is a related offence. I find it to be. After explaining the conditions for bail, Judge Goldspring told Thomas that he could go. Thomas responded: "Thank you."

Thomas is accused of raping two women and sexually assaulting the third woman between 2021 and 2022. The Metropolitan Police Department launched an investigation after receiving the first report of rape in February 2022.

Thomas's attorney Jenny Wilt Hill previously said he "denied all charges against him" and added that he "welcome to finally have a chance to clear his charges." Thomas joined Arsenal from Atletico Madrid for a transfer fee of £45 million in 2020. Before his contract expires on June 30, he made a total of 167 appearances for the club.

Thomas was a key member of Arteta's leadership last season and is currently about to join the La Liga team Villarreal. He made 52 appearances in various competitions, contributing 4 goals and 3 assists.

A spokesman for Arsenal previously said: "Thomas' contract expired on June 30. As legal proceedings are underway, the club cannot comment on the case."
