The Athletic stated that the selection panel this time consisted of 43 writers, podcast hosts and editors, each of whom provided a list of 25 people from No. 1 to No. 25. A player is worth 25 points for each first-place vote, 24 points for each second-place vote, 23 points for each third-place vote, and so on. A perfect score - receiving all 43 first-place votes - would be 1,075 points. Additionally, all statistics and achievements are calculated from the 2000-01 season.
