Official: Serie A new coach David Nicola takes office and signs for two years
Serie A newly promoted Mark Cremona announced that new coach Nicola will take office and sign the contract until June 2027.
On Wednesday local time, Cremona Club issued an announcement on its official website stating: "Cremona Club announced that David Nicola has become the first-team coach and he signed until June 30, 2027. The club and the boss welcome the new coach and wish him a happy job."
Nicola was born in Turin in 1973 and started coaching in 2010. He has coached teams such as Livorno, Crotone, Genoa, Turin, Sarenitana, Empoli, Cagliari and other teams. He led Cagliari to successfully relegate in Serie A last season.
Cremona ranked fourth in Serie B last season and successfully advanced to Serie A through the play-offs. Afterwards, coach Stropa left office and went to Venice to coach. Now Cremona has found new coach Nicola.
