MIIT: The Milan duo met with top police officials to discuss the issue of extreme fans and the progress of security measures

According to "Gazzetta dello Sport", the Milan duo met with top police officials to discuss the issue of extreme fans and the progress of security measures.
According to the latest news, the "Double Curve" investigation is still ongoing, and the police are still highly focused on the extreme fans of the Rossoneri. A high-level meeting involving both Milan clubs was held today at the police station in Milan to assess the current situation.
The meeting was convened by Police Chief Claudio Sgaraglia, and was attended by prosecutor Marcello Viola, deputy head of Milan's anti-Mafia special operations team Alessandra Dolci, national anti-Mafia prosecutor Giovanni Melillo, as well as Inter Milan and AC Milan presidents Beppe Marotta and Paolo Scaroni and many other club executives.
It was revealed that significant improvements emerged from the meeting, including the management and sale of real-name tickets, the cancellation of season tickets for hundreds of blacklisted extreme fans, the introduction of a facial recognition system at stadium entrances (which is currently being implemented), and the education of staff and directors to avoid any form of inappropriate contact.
The summary of the meeting showed that since the police raids in October 2024 that led to the arrest of extreme fans in the Milan South Stand and the Inter Milan North Stand, the two clubs have taken a number of measures, but there is still room for improvement.
The Milan duo were directly affected by this incident: after a large-scale operation led to the arrest of extreme fans, the prosecutor's office also launched "preventive procedures" against Inter Milan and AC Milan (the two clubs were not investigated and served as civil plaintiffs in related lawsuits).
In the coming months, both clubs must prove that they have cut ties with their ultra-fans. In the area of public order and security, the report was prepared by advisors from Milan's Special Action Group Against the Mafia and the National Anti-Mafia Prosecutor. What is needed now is for the club to have an organizational model that ensures good results and stabilizes in the future.
