LASK Linz officially announced that after reaching an agreement with Boateng, the contract will be terminated early and Boateng will leave the team.

Boateng transferred to LASK Linz last year, during which time he played a total of 14 official games for the Black and White Legion. Despite his repeated hinders due to injuries, he is a highly respected leader player on the court and in the locker room with his international experience. Young players, especially, benefit from his support in their career development.

Now, Boateng has reached an agreement with LASK Linz to immediately terminate the contract that was originally lasting until the summer of 2026.

Boateng has joined Lyon for two seasons since leaving Bayern in 2021, and then joined Sarenitana for half a season. He joined Linz Club in the Austrian League One last year, and his original contract lasted until next summer.
