Body chart: Roma’s offer was 30% higher this summer, but F-Silva finally chose Dortmund for stability.

Dortmund's new striker this summer, Fabio Silva, has become more and more adaptable to the team. The German media "Bild" reported that the forward rejected a higher offer from Roma this summer. He chose Dortmund because he saw an opportunity to settle down and play football here.

In the previous Champions League match against Copenhagen, Silva scored his first goal in Dortmund, and he is increasingly integrating here. Dortmund insiders are convinced that he will become the next key player in Dortmund's offensive line and believe that he will be the successor to Gilassi, who is six years older than him.

The reason is: It was not just the first few short appearances that inspired the management, but more importantly, Silva's attitude and determination towards the club. According to "Sports Bild", the forward received a specific offer from Roma this summer, and the salary they offered Silva was much higher than Dortmund's - about 30% higher.

In Dortmund, Silva's basic annual salary is approximately 4 million euros, and the total can rise further after bonuses are added. In Rome, his basic annual salary could have exceeded 5 million euros. If calculated based on the five-year contract he signed with Dortmund, Silva is equivalent to giving up about 6 million euros in income.

So why did he still choose Dortmund? At the age of 18, Silva was sold to Wolves of the Premier League by Porto for a high price of 40 million euros - and this was a transfer completed against his own wishes. At that time, Porto, who trained him, was in desperate need of funds, and his agents also wanted to earn considerable commissions from it.

In England, Silva never really felt integrated: in five years, he was loaned out four times. What he desperately wants now: to finally settle down.

After numerous conversations with sporting director Kyle and coach Niko Kovac, who also had several phone calls with him before signing, Silva developed a feeling that Dortmund could satisfy his desire. He then personally facilitated the transfer by asking Wolves management to accept Dortmund's offer (€22.5 million plus bonuses).
