Recently, Rockets coach Udoka accepted an interview with the media.
Uduka, who served as an assistant coach under Spurs veteran coach Popovich, said: "I'm not trying to imitate any other coach. I did draw something from others, but you have to be yourself and, most importantly, you have to stay true.
"Obviously, I was greatly influenced by Pop, such as staying true, being responsible, etc., but I'm not trying to be him or copy his practices.
"Being myself, in a way, the age gap between me and these players is not that big, even though there are some 19-year-old kids here, the resonance between us, and the fact that I have experienced it myself, allows me to communicate with them on that level."
