Scout: The news I keep hearing is that the Cavaliers are not interested in James and don t know where the rumors come from

Basketball

According to US media Hoops Wire, an NBA scout talked about the rumors that "the Cavaliers contacted Ritchie Paul to talk about the James deal", which he thought was nonsense.

An NBA scout told Hoops Wire: "The news I keep hearing is that the Cavaliers (incidentally, there is little interest in James) and it can be said that there is no such thing as at all. So I'm not even sure where that report (the Cavaliers contact Rich Paul) comes from, who is the source? Is Rich Paul's Cleaner?"

"The Cavaliers have a quota (the 13 players currently have contracts), but I don't think LeBron, 40, will be their target," the scout said. "He still plays well most nights, at least on the offensive end, but there are countless reasons that won't work, and you can start from this: His contract is as high as $53 million a year."

According to reports, Rich Paul recently told ESPN that four teams have contacted him for a potential James deal, and the Cavaliers are allegedly one of them. In response, the scout said: "Listen, LeBron and Ritchie Paul can do whatever they want to play this game, but what's the use of contacting Ritchie Paul? He can't facilitate a deal. Of course, he can ask for a deal. If that's the case, he can also provide the Lakers with the option of where James is willing to play, but this is just the LeBron camp venting his dissatisfaction. Who knows why?"

"... He won't go anywhere, even if he really wants to leave, the destination will not be Cleveland. The Cavaliers don't need him. They are building something really great there. I don't think at this stage of his career, he can't make the Cavaliers qualitative change." He added.
