Redick talks about team focus: There will be growing pains at the beginning of the season, hopefully it won’t last too long

In a regular season game that ended today, the Lakers lost to the Warriors 109-119. After the game, Lakers coach JJ Redick accepted interviews with the media.

Redick said he felt the team's discipline was "pretty good," but he still pointed out the problem that the Lakers were not as focused as they should be.

"It's like when you take matters into your own hands," Redick said. "Steph Curry got a run-back layup. Gary Payton II went down and had a dunk. We didn't switch on the 'small on small' pick-and-roll, and then Jimmy Butler broke through and made a layup.

"Early in the season, the team will go through growing pains in this area, and hopefully it won't be too long. "
