Motiejunas: Even the No. 1 pick may not be ready to play in the NBA, but James is an exception

Recently, former Rockets player Motie Yunas participated in a podcast program and talked about James during this period.

The Lithuanian inside who was selected by the Houston Rockets with the 20th pick in 2011 was 21 years old at the time, but he did not play throughout his rookie season. Motel said in a podcast that few players are ready to deal with the NBA's confrontation intensity when they are selected, after all, they are facing adult players, some are even in their 30s. This significant age gap makes physical fitness factors inevitably an important factor.

"I think the only person ready to play the NBA is LeBron James. He was already an adult when he was 18 or 19. Americans are different. They are developing much faster than we Europeans. Of course, I wasn't ready at the time," Mortyunas said.

James performed very well in his rookie season, averaging 20 points, last 6 assists and 5.5 rebounds, and also contributed 1.5 steals per game, when he won the NBA Rookie of the Year.
